Before Luke 2:52, "And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man," NCMN Mission Kindergarten prays, nurtures, and educates so that children grow as people who resemble Jesus.
Within the plumb line of the Word, it helps children grow as worshipers like David who deeply love God and know how to worship Him, people who resemble the character of Jesus and love neighbors, people who see the world through the Word and are full of God's wisdom and knowledge, and people with healthy minds, bodies, and physical strength.
It holds to 2 Peter 1:5-7: "For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love."
At the foundation of education at NCMN Mission Kindergarten, faith, that is, spirituality, is most basic. In every area of education, the first goal is for children to become people of faith who love God most, fully trust God, and know how to obey Him.
On the foundation of faith, second, it cultivates virtue, that is, character, so that children can love neighbors in relationships with people. Third, on the foundation of love for God and love for neighbors, children learn God's wisdom and knowledge in the Word. With faith, virtue, wisdom, and knowledge as the foundation, the goal is to raise them as Nations-Changers who transform the eight spheres of society.
To raise children who worship, the first hour every morning begins with worship. Every day, they worship wholeheartedly. Worship includes praise, the Word, Nehemiah 365 Days intercession for the nation and people, and Scripture memorization. As they worship wholeheartedly every day, they learn God's character and statutes and grow as people who obey the Word and live it out.
To raise them as "I am the Lord's child," through King's Finance class they learn that the owner of the whole earth is God alone, and that they are faithful stewards through whom God's blessing flows to the whole earth.
Through Changer Leadership class, they clearly know their identity, the image of God, and their calling, learn about the character of Jesus, and come to resemble the character of Jesus.
Through Shema creation, they engage with the Bible Word learned during morning worship through project-making class and deeply engrave the meaning of the Word. Examples of project classes include making according to the order of creation, making Noah's ark and putting animals on it, making the tabernacle, making the stone tablets of the Ten Commandments, playing crossing the Jordan River, and making trumpets of Jericho and playing with them.
To learn to become children who serve neighbors and villages, that is, the 5K Movement, every week they go around the village near the kindergarten, pick up trash, and intercede and prayer-walk so that the village where the kindergarten belongs becomes Jesus Village.
To raise children who love nature, they play outside for one hour every morning after worship. They run freely on the playground, hike a nearby small mountain, or play with sand and water in the small yard behind the kindergarten. Because getting sunlight and running around are very important for physical development and physical growth in growing children, they go out and play every day unless the weather is very bad. Outdoor play also has the benefit of deepening friendships with friends.
To raise curious children, every Friday they go on field trips or regularly go to the children's forest in World Cup Park for play and learning. Curiosity grows through field trips and children's forest experiences. They are given many opportunities to directly experience various things according to the children's areas of interest.
So that wisdom and knowledge grow steadily, cognitive learning activities are held for 30 minutes every day in Korean, numbers, and English, namely English lessons learned through JEBS Bible-based English. In addition, they learn basic studies through classes in science, gabe, drawing, origami, art, and making. Once a month, they take cooking, physical education, health, and pottery classes with outside special instructors.
As Habakkuk 2:14 says, "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea," NCMN Mission Kindergarten will not stop but will run faithfully in raising next-generation leaders who will dedicate themselves as the fourth gospel runner so that God's glory may come upon the whole earth.
